While for in-person worship we celebrate harvest, we take the opportunity to hear this month’s Godly Play story of the parable of the sower, and wonder about the ways in which seeds are sown in our lives and give thanks.

WORSHIP 17th September
This Sunday we find Peter asking Jesus how many times he should forgive someone: “Seven?” he asks, “Not seven, but seventy times seven.” Jesus answers. We take this incident as a cue to reflect on what forgiveness means for us.

WORSHIP 3rd September
In person we’ll be celebrating the baptisms of Callum and Sean in the river Spey, as well as considering the life of King David the psalm writer. We turn to the beloved 23rd Psalm and reflect on how it speaks to us in our lives at this moment.

9th September 2023: Lhanbryde–Mosstodloch walk
The September walk is from Lhanbryde to Mosstodloch.
Route: We walk on paths through the Loch Na Bo estate, passing Kettle Loch, then Blackburn and to the old Orbliston station. A minor road then takes us to Balnacoul Wood, where we follow a path to Mosstodloch.
Distance: The walk is approx. 10km with 80m ascent.
As this is not a circular route, we will be leaving cars at both ends. Flyers will be in the church and on our noticeboards from 20th August. Please let Donald know if you will be joining us – tel: 07909 936724 or email to aberlourwalking@gmail.com by Thursday 7th September. Donald will then email you further details.
