Aberlour Walking Group is a welcoming group, open to everybody in the community. Our aim is to combine walking with an opportunity to meet and chat with other walkers, and to introduce walkers to some new areas. Children are welcome, and so are dogs, under adult supervision. We usually stop for a quick tea/coffee enroute, so please bring a flask and wear walking boots or strong shoes. Come ready to start the walks at 9:30am. 12th March 2022: Quarrel Wood circular walk
Starting point: Park in the “Woodland Park” (Leggat Car Park) just off the A96 (3km / 2m) west of Elgin.
Route: This is a circular woodland walk, which will take you through forest and
sandstone quarries, giving great views to the north to the area occupied by the medieval Spynie Loch. The path has some rough sections in places. There are opportunities to provide Shorter Walks.Distance: 8.5km / 5.0mi.
