Book club – exploring interest
Book clubs can be a great way to explore powerful stories, find theological insights, and grow our faith together. If you would be interested in joining a pilot group meeting once a month from April to June to read Jane Eyre together, please speak to Margie or email margiemck@hotmail.com. If there is sufficient interest, we will begin meeting the second week of April.

The Church of Scotland’s Legacies of Slavery Project
As part of this project, our church is participating in a project with local schools to explore the legacies of slavery in our community. One of the key messages of the project is that although we cannot change the past, we must acknowledge and learn from it.
Children in Primary 5-7 will hear from Lisa Williams (Edinburgh Caribbean Association) and then be asked to create designs reflecting their thoughts on slavery and sharing the message of love, peace and equality for all. The children’s designs will be incorporated into banners for display in local church buildings.
We will need textiles and volunteers to create the banners, in May and June, and if you are able to help please speak to Jane Tweedie or email jane871515@outlook.com. Also, if you have any spare fabrics, ribbons, lace etc, which you no longer need, please consider donating them for use in creating the banners.
