Debates and arguments in the church are as old as the church – this week we see people falling out over what demands should be placed on the Gentile (non-Jewish) believers in Jesus.

Turns out that God makes no distinction between people, and God’s love is for everyone

  • WORSHIP 25th APRIL

Foreigners; strangers; seekers. The encounter between Philip and the Ethiopian is a story of the God’s followers reaching out. The story of how for God there are no barriers; no outcasts; no strangers. For us in our church, in our community this is often a challenge and can test us to the limits.

Can we, like Philip, be bold enough to speak to the stranger in our midst; can we welcome, affirm and share God’s love with those we meet, thus enabling them to experience the joy and fellowship of Christ?

    Let’s worship together.

If we ever thought the first group of Jesus followers had it easier than we do, we can think again.

Today Stephen’s story – a tale of conflicting communties, false accusations, bribes and murder. And among it all, some pretty searching questions for us today…

    Let’s worship together.
